DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Warner's Niki Helms has been named the Pitcher of the Week in The Sun Conference for the week ending Apr. 18, 2010.
Helms was impressive in her role of assisting the Royals to a series win over SCAD this weekend. With the series tied 1-1, Helms pitched a complete game in the pivotal game three of the conference series. The freshman hurler made the first conference start of her career, and earned the win after giving up only five hits and one run while striking out one batter.
