DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – SCAD Savannah goalkeeper Ross Faulds was tabbed as the first men’s soccer Defensive Player of the Week for 2010, The Sun Conference office announced on Monday. A junior from Loughton, England, Faulds played every minute of the Bees’ three matches to lead his team to a 3-0 record on the week.
Faulds began the week with a five-save effort and surrendered one goal in a 3-1 win over Milligan. He notched his second and third shutouts of the season against conference opponents Northwood and Johnson & Wales. In the outing against Northwood he collected three saves and stopped all three shots on frame in a 1-0 win, and helped the Bees to a 13-0 decision against Johnson & Wales.
