Men's Soccer Team Pull Together for Haiti and Teammate Djemas Lima
Babson Park, Fla. -- We’re all aware of the natural disaster that struck Haiti last week, and many Webber students have been doing their best to help, especially the Men’s soccer team.
The family of DJems Lima were affected by the earthquake, therefore the team came together in order to raise funds for the victims of this tragic incident.
The Warriors managed to raise $500 which was donated to the Yele Haiti Foundation, a charity established by musician Wyclef Jean.
Coach Cockburn has a mentality that reads, “If one falls, we all fall!”
Cockburn’s Warriors are a prime example of this statement after showing their token of generosity.
On behalf of Webber International University, I would like to send my thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of anybody affected by this tragedy.
