SILVIS, Ill. - The National Association of Intercollegite Athletics has announced that Daktronics has named 91 men's golf players as Daktonics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Sr. Nathan Leonhardt (Vancouver, Canada), Jr. Chris Hawley (Walpole, MA), and Jr. Martin Gray (Athy, Ireland) were named as 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes from Johnson & Wales University.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain the minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.

"Leonhardt, Hawley, and Gray have demonstrated the quality of student-athletes that need to be present both on and off the course. Academics is always the number one priority. To achieve such high marks in the classroom and to commit themselves to a demanding collegiate sport is a huge accomplishment for them. They should feel very good about this award. I join their professors and athletics in expressing our excitement for these honors," said Head Coach James Palmer.
