Northwood Tops Southeastern in Conference Quarterfinals

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The third-seeded Northwood women’s tennis team swept all three doubles matches en route to a 5-0 win over No. 6 Southeastern in the quarterfinal round of The Sun Conference tournament, Friday at the Crotty Tennis Complex on the campus of Embry-Riddle University. The Seahawks improved to 8-6 overall and will face No. 2 Embry-Riddle in the semis at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
 
The Seahawks dropped just nine points in three combined singles matches for an early 3-0 lead. Adelaide Wood topped Alexis Quinn 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 and Valentina Souki clinched the win for Northwood with a 6-0, 6-0 defeat of Kristina Wisor at No. 2.
