LAKE WALES, Fla. – Warner University women's volleyball team advanced to The Sun Conference Tournament final with a 3-0 (26-24, 25-8, 25-19) victory over Keiser University on Friday night in the Turner Athletic Center.  The Lady Royals won their 15th straight match and are now 18-4 overall.  The Seahawks season comes to end dropping their record to 22-11.

The Lady Royals got off to a great start in the first set but had to fight off a scrappy Keiser squad that rallied from a 23-14 deficit to tie the game at 24-24.  After timeout by Sun Conference Coach of the Year Chrissy Moskovits, the Lady Royals scored the final two points to go ahead 1-0 in the semifinal match.

Warner's Breeanna Navarro was impressive in the opening set collecting six kills and her first six swings of the match.  Keiser's Nikki McKown also had six kills in the first set.
The second set was all Warner as they took a 2-0 lead with a 25-8 final.  Angie Pagan-Perez racked up seven kills of Warner's 12 kills in the set.  As a team the Lady Royals hit .385 at the net.

In the third set the Lady Royals broke a 10-10 tie with a 4-0 run and never looked back winning the set 25-19 and the match 3-0.  Pagan-Perez added five kills in the final set to finish with a game-high 14.

Navarro's big night ended with 12 kills and a .647 hitting percentage.  She also had three block assists in the match.  Adrienne Czaplewski had nine kills and was perfect passing the ball on the night in 11 chances.

Jenna Swaffer finished with 31 assists and two kills along with four digs.  Thalia Mendez led all players with 15 digs on the back row for the Lady Royals.

For Keiser, McKown led the way with 10 kills and nine digs.  Nicole Papineau finished with 24 assists and seven digs as well.

Saturday's tournament finale is now set and will feature the top seeded Lady Royals and third-seeded Southeastern University.  The Fire upset second-seeded St. Thomas University in a five set thriller in the first semifinal game earlier on Friday.  The Lady Royals and Fire will meet at 2 p.m. in the Turner Athletic Center.  Live coverage of the championship match will be provided by Warner University and can be accessed by clicking here.
