USCB’s Surge Highlights Moving Day at Men’s Golf Championship

DADE CITY, Fla.—No. 8 USCB made a charge up the leaderboard during the second round of play at The Sun Conference Championship at Lake Jovita.
The Sand Sharks posted the low team score of the tournament thus far with a three-under 285 as a group, jumping from sixth place to a three-shot lead with 18 holes to play.
Jack Faraci made a big move up the individual leaderboard as well, bouncing back from a five-over 77 in Round 1 with a five-under 67 in Round 2, which was the low round of the day and matched the low round of the tournament.
With a 36-hole score of even par, Faraci is in a tie for seventh along with teammate Bobby Dunphy who carded a one-under 71 on Monday.
Cody Booska of Johnson & Wales moved into the overall lead with a four-under 68 in the second round to take a one-shot lead over Carl Fosaas of Keiser, who shot 72 on Monday.
No. 5 Keiser is currently second with a 36-hole team score of 584, and stands a stroke ahead of No. 1 Coastal Georgia, which has a one-shot lead over Johnson & Wales.
The difference from first to sixth is just eight strokes.
The final round begins at 8 a.m. on Tuesday with the individual and team leaders starting play at 10:06 a.m.
