DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Florida Memorial senior Sudanne Stewart was a unanimous pick for The Sun Conference women’s basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 21. Stewart led the Lions to a 1-1 record, averaging 21 points, four rebounds, 5.5 assists and three blocks per contest.
Stewart started out the week with a 29-point outing in a tough 72-71 loss to NCAA Division II Lynn. She played 37 minutes and was 10-for-19 from the field, including a 7-for-13 clip from beyond the arc. She also tallied four rebounds, five assists and two steals and converted on two of her three attempts from the free throw line.
In an 87-54 Lion win over the University of Puerto Rico, Stewart totaled 13 points, four rebounds, six assists, four steals and a block in 31 minutes of action.
