DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – For the second week in a row and the third time this season, Northwood’s Jonathan Dunn was tabbed as The Sun Conference men’s basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 16. Dunn led the Seahawks to the top of the league standings with three conference wins, averaging 25.3 points on 51.9 percent (10-of-22) shooting from the field, 3.3 rebounds, two assists and 2.3 steals.

Dunn began the week with a 23-point outing as the 10th-ranked Seahawks upended No. 4 Embry-Riddle 77-73. He shot 9-of-17 from the field and added three rebounds and three steals.

The Toledo, Ohio junior played all 40 minutes in a 76-64 win over Southeastern. His 26 points included a perfect 8-for-8 night at the free throw line. He followed that with his highest scoring game of the week, a 27-point performance in an 84-52 win over Ave Maria. Dunn was 11-of-14 from the field, including a perfect 4-for-4 from beyond the arc and also had four assists and three steals in that contest.
