DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Webber International senior Nikki King garnered her third Sun Conference women’s basketball Player of the Week honor of the year on Monday after leading the Warriors to a 1-2 record during the week ending Feb. 6. King posted double-doubles in all three contests and averaged 23 points, 17.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.3 steals on the week.
Against Northwood, King recorded her highest point total of the week with 25 to lead the Warriors to a 66-62 conference win. The Haines City, Fla. center also had 23 rebounds, four assists and two blocks and was 11-of-24 from the field.
In a loss to St. Thomas, King played 32 minutes and contributed 20 points, 15 rebounds, two assists three blocks and two steals. She followed with a 24-point, 14-rebound performance against Ave Maria where she was 9-of-10 from the field and 6-of-9 from the free throw line.
