DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Ryan Vigue has been selected as The Sun Conference Pitcher of the Week for the second consecutive week. The senior from Embry-Riddle put together two strong performances for ERAU in their 5-1 week.
Vigue had another tremendous week for the Eagles, giving them two great outings in wins against 14th-ranked Tennessee Wesleyan and 18th-ranked South Carolina-Beaufort. Vigue threw five innings, allowing just three hits against TWC, picking up win number six, before throwing another gem against USCB this past Saturday. Vigue tossed a complete game shutout against the Sand Sharks, surrendering just four hits while fanning 11 USCB batters. The ERAU lefty went 2-0 with an ERA of 0.00 while opponents hit just .146 off of him during the week.
Vigue is 7-0 on the season, sporting a 1.87 ERA in his final campaign as an Eagle. He leads the nation in innings pitched (53.0) and wins (7), while ranking third in the country in total batters struck out (54) and 13th in batters walked-per-game (0.85).
