DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.—Frank Sigler of Florida Memorial has been named The Sun Conference Pitcher of the Week for games played Mar.14 -20, 2011. Sigler threw a complete game and helped the Lions defeat the No. 6 Embry-Riddle Eagles last Friday.
The senior from Miami, Fla. picked up his second win of the year by throwing nine innings against the Eagles, allowed only four hits, two runs (one earned) and had six strikeouts. Sigler is now 2-2 on the year with a 3.00 ERA in 42 innings pitched.
