DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.—Hunter Ovens of Webber International has been named The Sun Conference Player of the Week for games played Mar. 14-20, 2011.
Ovens hit .526 for the week, with four doubles, a home run, 9 RBI and five runs scored. The junior from Bradenton, Fla. also broke the school hitting streak record which is currently at 23 games. He also drove in a winning run in the first game of a double header against Indiana Tech and in the second game he drove in the tying run and scored the winning run.
Ovens helped the Warriors to four victories on the week, two over Mount Marty College and two over Indiana Tech.
