DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Warner’s Julian Ramirez-Luna earned his third Sun Conference Player of the Week honor in men’s tennis after earning two wins each in singles and doubles play during the week ending Apr. 3. The honor came after the freshman earned the first ever ITA Top 50 ranking in school history.

 

Against Coastal Georgia, Ramirez-Luna earned a 6-1, 6-4 win in singles, but suffered a tough 8-5 loss in doubles. The following day he rebounded to win his matches at the top singles and doubles spots against NAIA No. 25 SCAD. Ramirez-Luna downed Dean Loock 6-1, 6-2 in singles and paired up with Vitor Schepper for an 8-5 defeat of Loock and Kaan Yaylali in doubles.
