DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle sophomore Martine Olsen received her second league honor on Monday when she was selected as The Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week in women’s soccer for the week ending Oct. 2. A forward from Hosle, Norway, Olsen totaled three goals and three assists in two conference matches to help the 18th-ranked Eagles improve to 8-2-1 on the year.
On Friday, Olsen netted the first goal and assisted on the fourth as Embry-Riddle topped St. Thomas 4-2. She followed that performance by scoring twice and assisting on two other goals in the Eagles’ 6-0 shutout of Florida Memorial on Sunday. She leads the team in scoring with 13 goals and eight assists.
