DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – After leading his team to a 1-1 record last week, Warner senior David Westberry was selected as The Sun Conference Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 14. The Fort Myers, Fla. guard averaged 21 points, four rebounds, 8.5 assists and 3.5 steals, and shot 57.1 percent from the field over the two-game stretch.
In a 78-71 loss to Edward Waters, Westberr tallied 22 points, five boards six assists, a block and three steals on 8-of-15 shooting from the field and 5-of-6 shooting from the free throw line. He followed that with a double-double on 20 points and 11 assists in an 87-64 defeat of Clearwater Christian. He was 8-of-13 from the field in that game and added three rebounds, four steals and a block.
