DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Ave Maria's Sandy Jenkins has earned Sun Conference Player of the Week honors in Women's Basketball for her performances in games from Nov. 14-20, 2011.
Jenkins, a senior forward, averaged a double-double in the Gyrenes three games this past week. The Holly Hill, Fla. native led her team to a 65-60 victory over NCAA II Eckerd with 21 points and 11 boards, followed by an 18 point, 11 rebound contest against Edward Waters. Jenkins wrapped up her week with 17 markers and 10 rebounds in a 67-62 win over Puerto-Rico Rio Piedras.
