DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - For the second consecutive week, Northwood's Patrick Horstmann has been selected as The Sun Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Horstmann earned the accolade for his performance in games played Nov. 21-27, 2011.
The No. 1 Seahawks downed Sun Conference foe St. Thomas 88-82 on Saturday in their first conference game of the season, thanks in large part to Horstmann's 20 points and seven boards. The Wettenberg, Germany native was 6-for-7 from the floor and 7-for-10 from the charity stripe while also blocking two Bobcat shots in 37 minutes of action.
