DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Senior Jonathan Dunn became the second Northwood men’s basketball player to earn Player of the Week recognition on Dec. 19. Dunn led the top-ranked Seahawks to a pair of wins last week, averaging 28.5 points, four rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals over the two-game stretch.
Dunn reached a milestone against Sterling, scoring his 1,000th career point. He also set a Northwood single-game scoring record with 33 points that contest to go with his four rebounds and five assists as the Seahawks held off Sterling 87-81. Dunn following that performance with 24 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the field in addition to four rebounds, four assists and four steals as Northwood topped Bethel (Ind.) 101-66 to close out the Battle of the Beach tournament. He was also named tournament MVP.
