DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Sun Conference has released their weekly award winners for the week of Mar. 11, 2012, and Ian MacGeorge of Embry-Riddle has earned Baseball Player of the Week honors.
MacGeorge joins teammate Chris Page as a 2012 Sun Conference Player of the Week, and the Winter Park, Fla. native did so with a great week from the plate. The Eagles' right fielder went 12-for-29 in seven games last week, including three games against No. 7 Cumberland (Tenn.) and three contests versus RV Indiana Tech. MacGeorge drove in 13 RBIs and scored six runs while connecting for four doubles and one home run to help ERAU to a 5-2 mark on the week.
