DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Sun Conference announced the first weekly award winners in the sport of outdoor track & field on Monday, and Embry-Riddle's Leon Robinson was named the men's outdoor track athlete of the week.

Robinson shined for the Eagles at the USF Bulls Invitational, posting "A" standards in both the 100m and 200m. In the 100m, Robinson placed third in a field of 35 athletes, the top-finishing collegiate athlete in the event. Robinson was also the top collegiate finisher in the 200m, placing second to an unattached semi-professional runner. Robinson finished ahead of athletes from Rutgers, Alabama, Florida State, Marquette and USF, among other NCAA Division I schools. His time in the 100m currently is the fastest time in that event in the NAIA this season, while his 200m time is the second-best time in the country.
