DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Sun Conference announced the first weekly award winners in the sport of outdoor track & field on Monday, and Embry-Riddle's Reta Woodard was named the women's outdoor field athlete of the week.
Woodard broke the school record in the hammer throw, tossing a distance of 54.98m at the USF Bulls Invitational. That mark is also an "A" qualifying standard as well as the longest hammer throw in the NAIA this season by 4.22m over the second-best mark.
