DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Sun Conference announced the first weekly award winners in the sport of outdoor track & field on Monday, and Embry-Riddle's Crystal Bardge was named the women's outdoor track athlete of the week.

Bardge opened up the 2012 outdoor season with three "A" standards at the USF Bulls Invitational. Bardge broke the school record in the 100m with a time of 11.85, the second-fastest time in the 100m in the NAIA this season. Bardge then earned second-place finishes in the 100m hurdles (13.79) and 400m hurdles (1:00.66). Both of those times place her at the top of the NAIA Performance Lists this season, with her 400m hurdles time currently standing over two seconds faster than the next-best mark.
