DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Sun Conference announced its weekly award winners in the sport of outdoor track & field on Monday, and Embry-Riddle's Reta Woodard was named the women's outdoor field athlete of the week for the second time in 2012, her sixth consecutive award dating back to last year.
Woodard finished in the top five in all four throwing events, including two wins and a second-place finish. The sophomore threw 50.21m in winning the hammer throw on Friday, earning her another "A" standard. She also won the discus on Saturday, tossing a distance of 40.92m.
