DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Embry-Riddle's Greg Smith made it a clean sweep for the Eagles in The Sun Conference weekly baseball awards, claiming Player of the Week honors for his performance in games played Mar. 26 - Apr. 1, 2012. Smith joined teammate Daniel Eaton, who earned Pitcher of the Week accolades, as Eagles named to the weekly honor roll.
Smith, a senior from Clermont, Fla., hit .500 for the fourth-ranked Eagles, collecting seven hits in 14 at-bats. Smith drew five walks combined with his seven hits for an on-base percentage of .632. The Eagles' left fielder scored three runs, drove in a run and swiped three bags in five contests.
