DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.—The Sun Conference announced Monday that Omar Tejeira, of St. Thomas, has been named the Men’s Golfer of the Week for matches played Mar. 26 - Apr. 1, 2012.
The Panama City, Panama native shot 64-67-75 at the 41st Annual Marine Corps Federal Credit Union Championships held at Camp Lejeune. Tejeira birdied the first hole in a three-way playoff to become first back to back winner at Camp LeJeune since 2001. His impressive eight-under par 64 highlighted the event for the Bobcats.
