DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – St. Thomas junior Sara Mira was selected as the Sun Conference women’s soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 15. A forward from Pembroke Pines, Fla., Mira totaled 10 points on five goals, leading the Bobcats to a 1-0-1 record on the week.
Mira scored a school-record five goals in a conference win on Sunday over Warner. Mira scored the first three goals of the game, registering a hat trick in less than 24 minutes of play. Mira broke the school record for goals in a game previously held by current Head Coach Michelle Smith, who played for the Bobcats from 1996-1999.
