DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle’s Connie Pitenis is The Sun Conference Golfer of the Month for October 2012. The senior won the award after capturing her first career tournament title at the Mission Inn Women’s Fall Classic.
The Daytona Beach, Fla. native posted four sub-80 scores in seven rounds this month, shooting a season-best 76 in the second round at Mission Inn. In addition to winning her first tournament, Pitenis finished 16th and 25th at the 2012 UAB Fall Beach Bash and the Guy Harvey Invitational, respectively.
