DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Masse Doumbe of Northwood is this week's Sun Conference men's basketball Player of the Week. Doumbe was selected by the conference sports information directors.
The 6-8 forward averaged a double-double for the fifth-ranked Seahawks, leading them to a trio of victories. Doumbe was one rebound shy of posting a double-double in three consecutive wins for the Seahawks. He scored 20 points in 18 minutes of play in a 79-37 win over DeVry. After defeating #27 Point University, Masse scored 31 points, tying the fifth-best single game performance in school history, and grabbed 12 rebounds in the Battle at the Beach championship game victory over Edward Waters. Doumbe was named MVP of the tournament.
