DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - For the second time in 2012-13, Embry-Riddle's DeForest Carter has been named The Sun Conference men's basketball Player of the Week. Carter previously earned the honor on Nov. 19.
Carter led the Eagles in two games last week, a win at Florida Memorial on Wednesday, followed by a six-point loss to No. 7 Northwood on the road on Saturday. Carter recorded a double-double against the Lions with 15 points and 10 rebounds before leading all scorers on Saturday with 23 points and adding nine boards and dive assists.
