DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Alexis Batista of Northwood is this week's Sun Conference Baseball Player of the Week for his performance in six Seahawk games last week.
As the leadoff hitter for Northwood, Batista batted a team-high .560 for the week, tallied 14 hits in 25 at-bats, with nine runs, three doubles and three RBIs, while registering 17 total bases. Alexis was a perfect 5-for-5 on stolen base attempts, including a season-high three stolen bases against Saint Francis.
