DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Sun Conference announced its weekly award winners in the sport of outdoor track & field on Monday, and South Carolina Beaufort’s Josh Roper was named the men’s outdoor field athlete of the week for events ending Mar. 17.
Roper, already the school record holder in the discus, shot and javelin, added the hammer to his list of school marks with a toss of 27.09m at the Georgia Southern Invitational, placing second. He also took second place in the shot put (12.50m) and discus (34.39m).
