DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Sand Sharks' Blake Ciliwck has been named The Sun Conference Player of the Week for his performance in five games last week. Cilwick becomes the first USCB player to earn this honor in 2013.
After having a 13-game hitting streak snapped in the series opener against St. Thomas, Cilwick rebounded to go 6-for-10 with five runs and five RBIs in Saturday's doubleheader. Over the course of the week, the junior from Hobe Sound, Fla. collected eight hits, drove in seven runs and score six for the Sand Sharks.
