DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Sun Conference announced its weekly award winners in the sport of outdoor track & field on Monday, and South Carolina Beaufort's Ty'Chelle Freeman was named the women’s outdoor field athlete of the week, the second time USCB has won the award.
A sophomore from Savannah, Ga., Freeman won three of her four events at the Savannah State Twilight and claimed school records in the discus (32.37m) and hammer (28.30m). She plaved first in the shot put (12.06m) and toook thrid in the javelin (28.51m).
