DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle senior defender Rebekka Gislattodir was named The Sun Conference women’s soccer Defensive Player of the week on Sept. 16.
Gisladottir played every minute in both of the Eagles' games on the week. As a central defender, she was instrumental in the Eagles' shutout of 16th-ranked Kansas Wesleyan and helped limit third-ranked Concordia to just one goal. She also scored the game-winning goal against Kansas Wesleyan.
