DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - For the second consecutive week, a USCB Sand Shark has earned Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Week accolades. Alexa Muffley claimed the honor for her performance in a pair of matches last week.
The junior defensive midfielder had a tremendous week in leading the Sand Sharks to two victories to clinch the first home playoff match in the program's three-year history. She was dominant in the midfield, helping USCB win possession, and scored two goals off corner kicks against Ave Maria to give her seven on the season — a single-season school record.
