DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Northwood's Sharnele Brown has been named this week's Sun Conference women's basketball Player of the Week for her performance in a pair of games last week for the Seahawks.
Brown was the offensive catalyst for the Lady Seahawks in a pair of road tests against NCAA Division II opponents. Brown registered nearly half of Northwood's points in a loss at Northw Georgia, netting 28 with six rebounds and four assists, while connecting on Northwood record 18 of 21 free throw attempts. Against Georgia Southwestern, she recorded team-highs in points (18) and assists (7) with five rebounds. On the season, Brown is averaging 18.3 points and 6.8 rebounds, ranking third and ninth in The Sun Conference, respectively.
