DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - For the second time in three weeks, Southeastern's Dwayne Johnson has been selected as The Sun Conference men's basketball Player of the Week. Johnson was chosen by the league's sports information directors.
Johnson played 120 of a possible 125 minutes this week for the Fire. He recorded a season-high 35 points against previously unbeaten Division III Franklin in an overtime win over the Grizzlies. He then recorded a team-high 24 points and seven assists in an 86-76 win over #21 Oregon Tech, and notched his first double-double of the year with 16 points and 10 assists against fourth-ranked Southern Oregon. For the week, Johnson averaged 25 points, four rebounds, and seven assists and recorded six steals.
