DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Ave Maria's Matt Chattin is this week's Sun Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Chattin was selected by the league's sports information directors.
Chattin averaged 31 points, five assists, 4.5 rebounds, and three steals while helping Ave Maria to a 2-0 week. Chattin had a career night in Ave Maria's 110-82 win over Florida National, going 14-of-20 from the floor including 7-of-9 from behind the arc for a career-high 41 points. He also finished with six rebounds, four steals, and four assists. In the game, he set new career marks in points, field goals made and attempted, three point field goals made and attempted, total rebounds, and steals. Chattin followed the career-best outing with a 21 point and six assist effort in the Gyrenes 80-72 victory over Milligan (Tenn.). He finished the week 9-of-12 from three and a perfect 7-of-7 from the free throw line.
