DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Embry-Riddle's DeForest Carter has been named The Sun Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the third time in 2013-14. Carter also earned the honor on Nov. 25 and Dec. 9.
The junior guard led the No. 1-ranked Eagles to a trio of wins this past week, including winning the 2014 Bahama House Shootout. Carter, who was named MVP of the weekend's tournament, averaged 19.0 points, 6.7 assists and 6.3 rebounds for the Eagles. Carter also moved into 22nd on the all-time scoring list at ERAU with 1,068 points in 80 games for the Blue and Gold.
