DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Antishia Wright of St. Thomas has been named The Sun Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 30-Jan. 5.
Wright, a junior guard/forward, led the Bobcats to a 71-65 overtime win at Thomas. Playing the entire 45 minutes of the overtime contest, Wright scored a game-high 24 points on 7-of-13 shooting and 10-of-12 shooting from the free throw line. Wright hit a two-pointer with 3:57 left in the overtime to give St. Thomas a 60-58 lead and sparking a 15-7 run to finish the contest for the Bobcats win. In that final 17-7 run, Wright scored 9 of STU's 17 points.
