DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Sharnele Brown of Northwood becomes the first Seahawk to repeat as Sun Conference Player of the Week as she earns the honor this week as announced by the league office.
Brown registered a pair of double-doubles in back-to-back Sun Conference wins for the Lady Seahawks. In an 85-69 road victory against Ave Maria, Sharnele tallied a game-highs in points (24) and rebounds (10), matched a season-high field goal percentage, connecting on 10-of-13 (76.2%) attempts, and added three assists, two blocks and two steals. Against Thomas at home, Brown led all scorers with 19 points, along with 10 rebounds, four steals and two assists. On the season, Brown ranks third in The Sun in scoring, contributing 17.8 points per contest, and fifth in rebounding with 7.4 boards a game.
