DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Floyd Battle of St. Thomas is this week's Sun Conference Player of the Week after leading his team to two wins last week, including an upset of No. 1 Embry-Riddle.
Battle led all scorers with 24 points and was 4-of-6 from beyond the arc in 22nd-ranked STU's road win over top-ranked Embry-Riddle on Saturday night. His nine rebounds were a team-high for the Bobcats and he also had three steals and three assists. A three-pointer by Battle with 3:14 to play in the first half gave STU a 28-27 lead at ERAU. The Bobcats would not trail again in the win over the nation's top ranked team. Earlier in the week, Battle recorded 23 points, seven steals, seven rebounds, and four assists in a win over Warner.
