DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Bryan Muniz of Southeastern is this week's Sun Conference Baseball Player of the Week. Muniz was selected by the league's sports information directors.
Muniz hit .550 to help the Fire win five of their six games last week. Against NCAA Division II St. Leo, Muniz went 3-for-4 with two runs, a double, and drew two walks and stole a base in a come-from-behind win. Against first-place St. Thomas, Muniz was 2-for-3 with a double and a go-ahead home run to give the Fire the win on Friday. In the third game of the series, he was 4-for-4 with a double, and another go-ahead homer to give SEU the sweep. The junior was also 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored in a split with Davenport. For the week, Muniz drove in eight runs, had a 1.000 slugging percentage, .667 on-base percentage, and stole four bases.
