DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Warner quarterback Darrin (DJ) Davis has been named the first Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week in the 2014 football season.
Davis led the Royals from a 10-0 deficit to a 14-10 victory with two scoring drives in the fourth quarter in the first-ever Sun Conference football game. Davis finished the game with 195 yards of total offense including a 90-yard touchdown pass to Lester Lewis, the longest in school history. On the game-winning drive, Davis rushed for 20 yards and threw for 12 as the offense went 53 yards in nine plays to take the lead for good against Webber International.
