DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Southeastern running back Jarrell Reynolds has been chosen as The Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 29-Oct. 5.
Reynolds set seven school records and seven conference records during a 51-27 win over Edward Waters. The freshman rushed for 385 yards and six touchdowns on 31 carries. He also caught three passes for a team-high 68 yards, giving him 453 yards of total offense. Reynolds scored on runs of 12, 40, 47, 8, 58, and 57 yards; the last three came in the fourth quarter, which helped the Fire extend their six-point lead. The 385 rushing yards and six touchdowns stand as the most in a single game in the NAIA this season.
