DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Sophomore Helena Hansson of Embry-Riddle becomes the third different Eagle to be named Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Week. Hansson was chosen by the league's sports information directors.
In addition to helping the Eagles to a shutout against Thomas, Hansson anchored a defense that held sixth-ranked Lindsey WIlson to just one goal and also assisted on the game-winner against the Blue Raiders. Second-ranked Embry-Riddle is now 13-1 overall and a perfect 7-0 in league action.
