DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Caleb Winter of Southeastern has been named Sun Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for the third time this season.
The kicking game played a key role in Southeastern's 44-20 win over NCAA Division II Limestone College. Winter, a true freshman, was a perfect 3-for-3 on his field goal attempts, connecting from as far out as 40-yards, and was a perfect 5-for-5 on his extra points. He also recorded his 12th (of 34 total) punt inside the 20-yard line this season. His best punt of the night of 52 yards was his sixth of 50+ yards this year. In addition, four of his five kickoffs were touchbacks, limiting the Saints to an average starting field position of their own 27-yard line.
