DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Cesar Pastrana has been named The Sun Conference men's basketball Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 24. Pastrana becomes the second straight Embry-Riddle Eagle to claim the honor after Dalton Barnes was recognized last Monday.
The Eagles' leaned heavily on Pastrana during the 2014 Daytona Mitsubishi/Kia Shootout, riding the Cartagena, Colombia native for 38 points and 13 rebounds over a pair of games to give the Eagles the tournament title. Pastrana cracked the career top 10 rebounding list at Embry-Riddle in Friday's win over No. 19 Cincinnati Christian before being named tournament MVP following Saturday's 20-point, 7-rebound performance against (RV) Briar Cliff.
