DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Dannisha Pierce of St. Thomas is this week's Sun Conference Player of the Week as announced by the league office today. Pierce was selected by the conference's sports information directors.
Pierce put up a rare 20-20 performance with 23 points and 20 rebounds in a win Friday over Allen (S.C). In just 26 minutes, she shot 11-of-17 from the field en route to her 23 points, while also recording five steals. The next day in a win over Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, Pierce came one rebound shy of another double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds to go along with five steals and two blocks on the defensive end.
